| Physical Description | Amelia has a solid but trim physique. When off duty she lets her hair down, somewhat curly and halfway down her back. When on Duty it is in a braided bun. She has a small birthmark on her right shoulder that looks like a wolf howling at the moon. Her body is average for her height. Not overweight but not overly thin. She still has a touch of the old Scottish brogue, which becomes more evident when she is angered. |

Personality & Traits
| General Overview | Amelia could be defined as a typical Scott, Hardheaded! She has little desire to compromise when she feels she is in the right. This will lead to heated arguments that fall just short of violence. On more than one occasion she has informed command officers of how scientifically uneducated she thinks they are. Most of the time she gets away with that because she’ll provide the education they need in order to help them understand the best manner to deal with a scientific situation. However, that does not role over into other areas where she will defer to the knowledge of those trained with the required expertise. She can be stubborn when it comes to her department’s needs. And will make sure those who work in her department take the time off the need, despite working long hours and double or triple shifts herself. However, Amelia has a romantic’s heart. She always finds herself happy for those around her who have found love, even if she doesn’t believe she will ever have that herself. |

| Strengths & Weaknesses | Strengths: Stubborn – Tenacious – Heard Headed Will keep working on a problem till either it is solved even if the solution takes years to find. She had a good heart under her tough outer skin, and will make time to help others in need. She takes her profession seriously Weaknesses: Stubborn… at times not the best quality to have She tends to be short tempered with those that don’t, or won’t take the time, to understand. A good Scottish Malt, preferably 300 yrs old at least Not afraid to call superiors stupid. |

| Hobbies & Interests | Amelia likes to take long walks and will often use a holodeck program that featured several areas of Ayr, Scotland and its surroundings. She likes reading long novels. And she Loves Music. She has begun to take some more advanced self-defense classes, mostly Karate, to help focus her anger and control her response when she gets upset. |
| Personal History | Born in the Scottish town of Ayr, Amelia spent much of her time outdoors as a child. One of her best friends was Margo Donovan. She and Margo were inseparable from the time they were two till Amelia was ten. They learned to ride horses and would spend hours in the fields surrounding their homes. Amelia was always interested in the sciences. Amelia would always bring back something from those rides, whether it was a plant or a bit of stone, she wanted to get a closer look and she would spend hours looking at plants and other non-animate items under a microscope. She excelled in the sciences throughout her schooling. At her request her science instructor, Mr. Orly, would give her extra projects. By this time, she and Margo had developed different passions and slowly their friendship became more distant. Margo was more into mathematics than science and was sent to a school that would engage her more. This made it even more difficult for the two to maintain their friendship. At the age of 12 she was recruited to attend the Vulcan Science academy and went to study on Vulcan. While she missed her home at times, she was too busy learning all she could to be to upset about it. A Vulcan girl named T’Sor befriended her while she was at the academy. While this Friendship was nowhere near as close as with Margo, it helped Amelia get through the days and nights so far from home. During her third year at the Vulcan Science academy, she became friends with Votak, a boy close to her age. He would show her the areas of Vulcan that most non-Vulcans rarely get to see. The three friends would spend most of their free time together. Although they would also use it to gather more ‘samples’ that Amelia wanted to look at closer. Amelia graduated from the science academy at 17. Once she completed her courses at the science academy, she was recruited to Star Fleet’s Officer Candidate School. There she was educated on proper ship protocols and shipwide operations, but her main field of study remained science. She studied xeno- and exo-biology, Quantum Mechanics and Physics, as well as botany. During her time at OCS, Amelia became friends with Gregory DuCali. For a time, they even considered trying to get postings at the same place so they could stay together. Amelia considered Gregory to be her boyfriend. Their relationship lasted about two years. But Gregory wanted to get posted on a station, and Amelia’s dream was to travel to lots of places and learn about new planets and peoples. This created a lot of tension between them, and they broke up. Amelia decided that she would spend all her energy on her studies and not even deal with relationships that were doomed to failure. Amelia continues to keep up on her studies as the field of sciences is ever changing, with new discoveries and theories to explore. While she will tend to stay away from serious relationships, she is still friendly and has made friends on every ship where she has been posted. Lt. Lillian Monroe, another cadet on the Fortitude, and Amelia have become close friends and they continue to talk as often as they can, duty and coms permitting. |
