| Personal History | Bio Andromeda Lightfeather is 1/2 Cherokee Indian and half Amazonian. She grew up on an Indian reservation in Oklahoma and was schooled in both Native American and Western traditions. Born on January 1st 2356, to a Cherokee Father who was the tribes Chieftain and an Amazonian Mother who was 1/3 Cherokee. Growing up in a peaceful society was beneficial to Andromeda, who learned not only her own heritage but also absorbed the styles of other cultures. At 10 years old, she was being groomed for her eventual marriage to another future Chieftain of a neighbouring Cherokee Tribe. But as she hit the age of ascension, her beauty became a prize to be sought after. Retaliating against her Tribe, she became an object of desire at 18 years and joined Starfleet Academy. Upon hearing this, her father and Tribe disowned her, and all she had was Starfleet. Luckily for her, she was bright enough to get into the Academy, and thus a new chapter in her life began as she drew on her training to get through the times ahead. She was too independent, but had managed to make some new friends. As Andi went through her service, she finally made Lieutenant Commander, and her parents began to talk to her again, as did her Tribe, especially her father; she seemed to have attained something in his eyes, and she was okay with this. After so many years in Department or Deputy head posts, she had finally been granted the position of First Officer on the USS Galileo, an Insignia-class ship, which was returning to Federation space. When that fell through due to the Commanding Officer being unworthy of his position in her mind, causing her to clash with him,m she got a posting to an Earth Starbase as an Operations Officer. Eventually, another First Officer post had arisen on the newly commissioned Intrepid Class USS Churchill, she was assigned as the new COs First Officer, but that Commander proved ineffective and was removed from command, once again she had bad luck with ship Commanders, she ended up on earth assigned to the Strategic Operations Department, finally an opening for Security Chief on the long-running USS Dreadnought the new Valkyrie class mobile station, so she applied for the post, for the moment the thoughts of being a First Officer had been tarnished by two previous failed COs so she jumped at the chance. |
